There have been claims that the proposed Swansea Tidal Lagoon will not be the asset to the region as predicted.
Geraint Davies MP has stated that he thinks that the barrage and lagoon will blight the Swansea Bay area.
This is contrary to the views recently expressed which in addition to the economic benefits - 1800 jobs, £5 million local spend and generating power sufficient for 120000 homes will also provide a unique visitor attraction.
There is a consultation process underway where all views will be aired and considered.
Either way the publicity that the discussion has started to generate will be great for Swansea!
