Swansea's Gower College announce a new forensic science course.
With the continuing popularity of criminal investigation programmes such as CSI from America and of course our home grown Silent Witness there was eager anticipation when Gower College announced that it was considering running a forensic science course.
The lecturers have pointed out that whilst the course is very much science based it will not all be about dead bodies!
On television the whole process is neatly wrapped up in 60 minutes whereas students will learn that these investigations can be very laborious and long drawn out.
The course will focus on the discipline of accurate recording and classifying of evidence from a crime scene.
Nevertheless this still sounds really exciting and who knows the next Sherlock Holmes may just graduate from Swansea's Gower College!
