There have been calls to halt the sale of ground at four Swansea primary schools.
The land has been deemed surplus to requirements and put up for sale with development potential.
The schools concerned are Clydach,Reynoldston,Blaenymaes and Loughor.
Whilst we all accept that the Council has to make cuts and savings in many unpalatable ways in these difficult times this does feel a bit like selling the 'family silver'.
With an emphasis on children getting involved in outdoor activity it seems a shame that we are getting rid of publicly owned open space.
