Swansea is successful in bidding for grant aid to improve the city centre.
The grant is for £8.4 million. This is part of a Welsh government initiative under a Vibrant and Viable programme.
The really great news is that with other applications that the City has made under national Government and European initiatives it could generate inward investment of £330 million.
This could translate into thousands of square feet of retail and commercial space being developed.
This will lead to thousands of jobs being created both in construction and then permanent opporunities for the future.
