Plans have been announced for the Metropolitan University (UWTSD) to acquire a premier site in SA1.
The site totals 8.5 acres with the University given the option by the Welsh Assembly to purchase a further 11 acres.
Medwin Hughes the University vice Chancellor described how exciting the news was.
He pointed out the advantages of bringing together the diverse sites that they operate from at the moment.
And he stressed the improved and enhanced learning experience for students that the new campus would bring.
The new campus would also allow the University to develop and strengthen links with industry and business benefiting students local business and the city.
Great news for Swansea lets hope it happens quickly!
