The Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield is a place where anyone affected by cancer and their loved ones, at whatever their stage of illness, can turn to for support, help and advice.
That could be someone recently diagnosed with cancer, someone currently receiving treatment or someone with longer term effects post-cancer treatment.
We believe that the impact of any disease is not just physical and that recovery and healing involves attending to the needs of the whole person, body, mind and spirit. Research has shown that if the whole person is as relaxed as possible, and in balance, the body is more able to cope with the treatments given at hospital.
Over the past 10 years the Centre has grown in response to the suggestions of clients and volunteers and has developed its own holistic response to cancer. We offer an individual healing programme based on client choice.
The personalised and tailored support compliments any medical treatments that clients may be undergoing. Clients who attend describe the Cancer Support Centre as a peaceful, warm and welcoming place where expert therapists and experienced volunteers are there to support and help with whatever they are going through.
At the Cancer Support Centre we are passionate about making sure that anyone with cancer is able to access the support they need in order to enable them to cope with the impact of their diagnosis. We want to make sure that the stress and anxiety that clients feel at such as time is reduced and that clients are better able to cope with the things they are facing.
With your support we will be able to continue to support local people with cancer.
