For various reasons we haven’t been in Sudbury for around fourteen years and were pleasantly surprised to see The Secret Garden was still open and thriving. Everyone from the Patron to the waiting staff were friendly and welcoming. The daytime menu has plenty to offer and everything really is freshly made even the bread and, based on our lunch, the quality has remained as high as it always was. We will certainly be back to try the dinner menu in the not too distant future.

Disappointed, the starter hummus bland and adorned with circle of oil.
Main course warm gratinated goats cheese on toasted sourdough ,Bread not toasted salad leaves swimming in oily dressing.
Croque Monsieur very greasy and salad leaves swimming in oily dressing.Did not bother with dessert.
Expensive mistake.

A lovely spacious restaurant with a small bar area. The staff are lovely! Really accommodating, helpful, cheerful and fun! The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is very pleasant, good background music, excellent beer from the local Brewshed brewery, all in all, a lovely place to go for meal and a few drinks.
Lucy the manager is just the perfect host. Always smiling, exceptionally helpful, loves a chat and has an excellent sense of humour. Her traits filter down to her staff as well which makes for an excellent team. Long may they continue!
Keep up the great work!

We visited The Crown for a mid-week dinner. It's a lovely, old pub with the most ridiculously enormous beer garden in beautiful Suffolk countryside.
The food was divine, perfectly portioned and very tasty. The feather blade steak was particularly good. What really made the visit memorable was the staff. They were friendly and welcoming and the lady who took our food orders and served us dinner was without doubt the hostess with the mostest! She made us feel like cherished regulars. A fantastic evening.

Relaxed vibe, great choices on the menu, delicious wines.
We went with another couple and even though it was pouring we sat outside in one of their covered booths while we waited for our table and enjoyed a bottle...Nice to be outside!
As I said the food is really good. Two courses was plenty for us. I had fish, the others had various meats. There was a veggie option (which I nearly went for).
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

The best Sunday roast in a decade - by far. Super friendly and helpful staff, great wine list and 'to die for' pineapple upside down cake. All in a beautiful setting - AND clean and comfortable toilets (there's always a downside and that's usually it, but not here!)
We're already planning our return visit; one of my party is all the way from Colchester and has resolved to bring her friends - it's that good!

We haven't been here for years but it was a nice day and we wanted to go somewhere with a nice garden and good food. It turns out Friday is pizza day, not much makes me happier than a nice pub garden with a garden bar and a proper pizza hut with a wood fired oven. Others in the party had fish and chips and a lamb flatbread starter, both really good. Nice pint of brewshed pale ale, absolutely lovely lunchtime had. It would have been nice to have some tables with proper chairs as my wife struggles with picnic bench seats and it would be nice if the staff could take repeat drink orders from the table outside, but none of this spoilt the day.

Popped in for lunch after trying to find something better than normal tea shop fare in Sudbury and we definitely found it here, a menu full of French based snack lunches or specials that were main dishes, all well presented and tasty using very good products and home made. Great tea and coffee with a short French wine list, they have evening meals Fridays and Saturdays but we understand you must book!
