I was in Sudbury Suffolk last night looking for somewhere to relax and eat, with a friend, we were returning home to Surrey/West Sussex after my friend had visited her dad who lives locally. When we found David's Cafe - Bistro - Bar. A truly amazing place, lovely relaxed atmosphere with two delightful hosts, David and Trish.

We were greeted like old friends, shown to a table with very comfortable leather chairs and then we ordered our food and drinks. My friend Sandra had a a chicken burger which she said was delicious and I tried one of David's individual fish pie. Well oh my goodness was that a truly sensational thing to do ! It was packed with fish, just the right size and served with grilled asparagus. It absolutely melted in my mouth. I also tried David's cheese board and I can't recommend it enough.

All in all the atmosphere, our hosts their delicious food and glorious black coffee made for the perfect ending to a long tiring day. I for one will definitely be heading back to David's. Thank you both David and Trish for your hospitality and exceptional service.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Used physio Motive after a full hip replacement. Emily really helped me with my recovery, building my strength around the new joint and giving me the confidence to gradually increase my movements.
Thank you Emily

Mandy has made so many improvements! The shop is full of little treasures, make sure you have time to browse, itโ€™s well worth it.
The yellow labelling is great, nice and easy to see the prices and looks so neat, well worth the effort put in to change them all.
If you havenโ€™t seen the shop window itโ€™s well worth seeing, a lot of thought has gone into it and pays a great tribute.

If you want a coffee and a sandwich rather than a fully cooked lunch, this is the place to go. Deli/cafe owned and run by David Thompson, and next door to his wonderful Bistro. I don't know how he does it, but somehow David, ably helped by the almost impossibly polite and delightful Kayleigh, manages to create an atmosphere that makes it such a pleasant place to sit, eat and pass the time. Proper coffee, not the insipid or bitter stuff so often served up, and the Suffolk ham sandwiches are just perfect. Plus a superb selection of top quality items and cheese's available from the deli counter to take home and enjoy. It has become my regular coffee haunt.

Look no further if you want a perfect coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. The best in town and where you always receive a warm welcome. An added bonus is access to a well stocked deli. Bliss.

This little deli / coffee shop was a wonderful surprise. The food on offer, including that not on the menu but sold on the shelves, is of high quality. Sometimes places of quality are quite pretentious, but David's Deli had a comfortable atmosphere where you can kick back, enjoy your drink and read the paper.
I had a Ploughman's which was a very generous portion for ยฃ4.99. Homemade chutney is always a winner! The owner (David I assume) was quirky and attentive.
David had brought a fresh apple cake from France the day before, which was tempting! Personally, I don't drink coffee, but my parents were raving about it.
The Bistro next door looked very nice - we've made a mental note to eat there next time we're in Sudbury.
