We used to visit the Fox under the previous owner, and loved the place. When we heard the Fox was being taken on by a small local chain we weren't sure what we'd find.
The food is good - still a small but varied menu, changing once a fortnight. It was presented beautifully and tasted terrific. The waitress was pleasant, friendly and efficient; never chasing us, never leaving us sitting with empty plates for long.If you love beer - try the Brewshed. The scent is like sitting in a good brewery, and the taste is just as good. We will be returning, and not leaving it so long this time.

Fantastic! We had a Sunday lunch here, first time we have tried The Fox and the food was perfect, as was the service and the whole ambience of the place. Very good value for money, we will definitely return.

In the area visiting Long Melford and chose this pub for our evening meal. We made an excellent choice. The food was brilliant. My wife and I chose crab and prawn polenta cake which was served with a lovely chilli relish. To follow I chose whole oven baked mackerel which I hadn’t had for years but was perfectly prepared and served with salsa verde. My wife chose the spatchcock chicken which was also cooked to perfection and just the right quantity. We couldn’t resist deserts which again were delicious. I sunk myself with chocolate mouse while my wife sensibly chose lemon creme brûlée.
To sum up brilliant menu which changes fortnightly, great service and value for money.

After my recent visit to Wardale Williams Sudbury i must send my thanks to Amanda and the super team at W.W Sudbury. Their customer care is second to none ! . After another visit to update my glasses I have purchased a lovely pair of Moscot Lemtosh glasses , amazing frame style and vision with my hoya my self lenses 👍

I have been a customer now at Wardale Williams Sudbury for over 30yrs. I have now moved to another town but still go back to Sudbury for my eye tests and any new glasses I may need. I have found the service exceptional from the eye test to the help given in finding new frames. The modern equipment ensures that any problems are found before they become a problem. Thank you to all the staff for making my visits enjoyable and stress free. Special thank you to Amanda for her advice and patience when I am choosing a new frame.

Such a friendly service with Jo who thoroughly tested my eyes explaining every aspect as she went. She put me totally at ease and even made the experience fun. I always worried about having my eyes tested but with Jo I felt fine.<br>Amanda then advised me in my selection of frames. I actually kept my driving specs the same but she will fit my new lenses while I wait so that I am able to carry on driving with them with the existing lenses. My new reading frames are really nice and Amanda was very thorough in her advise about them and measuring them so that they will fit perfectly. Amanda, was like Jo, was very efficient, kind and friendly giving a personal service which is important to me.<br>Having collected my new specs and had the lenses changed for driving I really feel the benefit of having my prescription updated.
