What were we missing more than anything in this lockdown - David's coffee.
Well, surprise, surprise much to our amazement David has opened for take away coffees and scones, wonderful. It made our day last Wednesday to call in, have a chat and buy our coffee and cake. Tasted so good and as we walked through Sudbury and two people asked where we brought our coffees from. Looking forward to next Wednesday as we have ordered hot dogs and coffee, (David is extending his menu already). What would we do without this great man and his amazing menu.Keep up the good work David as it's so much appreciated in this very strange time.

Passing through & great coffee
I had heard on the grapevine that you could get one of Thompson’s great coffees so I rang ahead, no queuing nor waiting as we are not allowed to, I was asked if I wanted anything else, one of the famous bacon and egg subs was waiting as well - wow. Brilliant service a couple of times a week what a boon.

This bistro is an excellent little family business which offers superb cooked foid, coffee,wine and cakes. Also newspapers, books and even dvds.

Amazing Food & Service
Over the last few months David & his family have supplied coffee when they could. Then they started Takeaway, burgers or Scampi delicious. Then the occasional takeaway fillet Steak - wow. Tonight the first guests were looked after. Most delicious Steak with home made sauces. Burgers with blue cheese.
Thank Thompson family, you have done Sudbury proud.

We visited David’s twice over the last weekend, whilst visiting Sudbury. We enjoyed our lunch so much the first day that we returned the next day for round two! On both occasions we had salads- grilled goats cheese and a blue cheese salad. Both had a lovely mix of ingredients and were freshly prepared. I also tried the avocado, tomato and mushrooms on toast which was equally tasty. We would def return if in the area.

I called by for a Take-away coffee, even behind my face mask I could smell something seriosly good eminating from the Kitchen.
I decided to stay for Lunch, I had the most delicious Open Steak snadwidch, with Toasted Soda Bread, garnished with Mushrooms and Cherry Tomatoes in a Sauce made by Simon. Well sated,Thank you all.

Popped in for an early lunch - had the ham egg and chips - my mum requested well done eggs and they were perfect for her - we both agreed the meal was delicious and service was great. Will definitely be back. Oh! we had some cheese scones too - they were lovely - warm, very cheesy.

Sat outside had light breakfast. Coffee was delicious and the almond croissant fresh and tasty. The was a restaurant but we did not try this as not open at our visiting time. Worth visiting for a light breakfast. NB there were other breakfast offers
