Lovely kind service and enthusiastic staff, had the shepard’s pie fritters to start, didn’t know what to expect but loved them! For mains i had the butternut squash risotto that was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My friend had the scotch egg starter and the steak and ale pie for mains and enjoyed them too! Will defiantly return!

Went to the fox for a date night a few weeks ago! Cannot fault this place! We were seated straight away and were serviced by a lovely young girl. Fran was very helpful and attentive. Food was very good, could not say a bad word about this place

Came in on the off chance and the lovely Fran fitted us in even though we hadn’t booked.

We have visited this restaurant a few times - for dinner and lunch over the past few months. The food is lovely and the service is excellent! We can not fault the food - had the pork, the fish dishes and a Sunday roast too - which there is lots of!
Daisy and Fran have both served us on different occasions and they are both happy and helpful and so polite! We will be back soon. Keep it up.

Popped in with our friend for lunch and catch up. The food was excellent, timely and very tasty. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and never felt rushed. Definitely go again

We are regular customers at The Fox, as we visit relatives in Sudbury monthly and we find other local establishments to be well below their high standards for food and service.
We have positively reviewed before but wanted to particularly compliment the team for hosting a birthday lunch for 9, last week. The food was , as usual, great and the service was thoughtful and helpful to our guests.
We had a great time. We will be back!

went yesterday ( Sunday ) , first time in a couple of years and loved every minute of the experience . very welcoming staff , beer was lovely and the sunday lunch turkey roast was to die for . we go out most sundays for lunch somewhere and that was the best sunday lunch of 2024 . loved it ... we will be back .

Delicious and well presented food, helpful and pleasant staff, nice surroundings, easy parking and reasonable prices. We did not try their extensive range of steaks but the dinner menu was varied and gave plenty of choice.

Just changed to spring menu, which is ok. Hate the seating against the wall - feel trapped inside. Staff were professional and excellent . Dessert menu was uninspiring. Out of six of us no one chose anything
Fish and chips had fabulous crispy chips and batter but could not taste fish as too much batter.
