Love David's although the reduced (in every sense!) lunch menu is a bit disappointing. However a gorgeous smoked chicken and avocado salad went down very well indeed! I hope David's will continue to be strict about their "no kids" policy, as we love the peace! Plenty of child-friendly places are available in Sudbury.

Popped in for our elevenses. Tasty coffee and delicious array of pastries. Decor pleasant, staff friendly and helpful. All very enjoyable and pleasant. We shall return.

Very good friendly service ,the owner David is always there ready to talk to the customers, and to help and advise.
All the food is freshly cooked to order, the fresh sausage rolls in the morning - are the best. Also the range of scones.

On a visit to Sudbury we searched out an independent tea room/cafe rather than a big chain. Staff bubbly and friendly but the tea cups are disappointingly so small. Our tea pigs tea bags filled the cup and the water in the tea pot just about stretched to the two tiny cups. Tea pigs are a lovely brand and strong, so need a large cup or mug ( and would probably do two cups nicely if topped up with water) The waitress said she would bring another teapot of water but I had to ask again. This arrived with the croissant that I’d given up on ever arriving, I think it had been forgotten. Sadly wouldn’t visit again

Heard a lot about the burgers at David’s cafe from the locals, so I had to try and I am SO glad I did! By far the best burger I have tasted, everything about it was spot on.

Stopped by on a busy market day Thursday, very pleasantly surprised to find a coffee shop with a genuine passion for quality coffee. Being rather extensively travelled person who does like a nice strong coffee I find it hard to get that certain something usually missing in the UK, a full bodied strong yet smooth coffee. The service was first class as were the staff. The owner and namesake David really knows his beans! Hadn't got the chance to as yet sample the food menu however it was clear from hearing other customers comments and remarks that they were enjoying theirs. Would very highly recommend stopping by even to just grab a takeaway coffee rather than buy a bland soulless brew elsewhere in the town.

With the current pandemic we have been lucky enough to still enjoy our favourite lunches from David’s from delicious home made lasagnes to fresh mouthwatering burgers which are a family favourite!

I’ve had the steak from here twice now, once in restaurant and also tonight as takeaway. Me and my partner ordered two steaks, one as medium rare and one as rare, both cooked to perfection. Lovely staff, very welcoming.
Good quality food but not too pricey.
Would also like to add we came from hedingham and was very impressed the food was still piping hot.

So today I rang up david's ordered me and my children burgers and chips.
Service was fast and super convenient as I didn't even need to get out the car.
Once I got home I got stuck into the burger and I have got to say it was one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. So much flavor that transformed a burger into some thing absolutely divine. I 100% recommend u try it. My belly feels full and very happy. Proper top notch quality food.
