I cannot praise Tackwood highly enough. I was told by a main car dealer that my vehicle needed new rear brake pads and discs. Darren and the guys viewed the car and said it was untrue - my vehicle was good for another 2 years! They didn't charge for their services on this occasion. Brilliant!

Sent my car in to tack wood with the wife as rear light was out, sorted ASAP and charged basically nothing for it.
Just sent van in again for mot and service and as usual they got it back to me by the end of day which is a huge bonus as time off road is money down the drain for business, honestly wouldn't bother going anywhere else.

As a woman, it is hard to find a mechanic that doesnt want to overcharge or sell you work that isnt required but in Tackwoods I feel i have found an honest business who are friendly and always try to fit you in when you have a problem.
Their prices are fair, every bill is itemised to show labour and parts so you know they are not trying to rip you off.
I have never had a bad experience with them so I think they are a company worth 'love'.

I recently took my car for MOT to Tackwood and I was greeted warmly (on a cold day) by the reception staff. The test was carried out quickly and I was informed it had passed straight away. There was an additional minor problem which they sorted without me having to ask. All in all a good experience from pleasant, helpful staff.
