Wanted – Essex Brainboxes to Help their School win major IT prize

Do you know your Nelson Mandela from your Nelson Piquet? Can you explain what happened in 1066? And exactly what was the Spice Girl’s first chart?

If you can answer questions like this, then you are well on your way to helping your school win a £1850 prize in the Thermoshield Community Schools Quiz Challenge 2012.

They’ve teamed up with Southend Radio 105.1 and Chelmsford Radio 107.7 to encourage schools across Essex to take part, along with parents and friends, in a fun quiz night to help raise cash for much needed school projects.

The top team from each school will be invited to a Grand Final, where the winning school will receive an £1850 IT consultancy package from Basildon based Kevin James Ltd.

Plus, the winning team will also get the chance to tour the state-of-the-art radio studios and meet the Wake Up Essex! team.

Station Manager Nick Hull says “This is a fantastic prize that will provide a much needed boost to any school, so I am sure we are going to have lots of teams battling it out to win. So get your best brains together and start swotting – and don’t forget to send us your entry via the website, you’ve got to be in it, to win it!”
