SPARKS IN THE PARK this weekend!

Bring your picnic and chairs and join us for a day of fantastic fun and entertainment to raise money for Sparks, the charity that funds pioneering medical research into heart defects in babies.

Sparks are a charity with a mission  to help all babies be born healthy and stay healthy.  They do this by funding high quality medical research into childhood diseases.

Approx 1 in 30 babies in the UK are born with a health condition that will affect them and their families for the rest of their lives.  There recent medical achievements include:

  • Club foot - Sparks researchers are leading the world's biggest study into club foot identifying the key genes that rob many children of a fully active life.
  • Spina bifida - Sparks researchers have identified genes that may be linked to severe Spina bifida.
  • Cerebral palsy - Sparks are contributing to the development of brain cooling equipment that is reducing the incidence of brain injury and cerebal palsy in babies.
