Holiday makers and business travellers using London Southend Airport are now able to pre-book their car parking space at the airport online in advance - and save money.
The new facility on www.southendairport.com has been introduced in response to public demand.
London Southend Airport Managing Director Alastair Welch explains “Many customers were asking us for an easy and simple way to ensure their vehicles were parked in one of the official, secure airport car parks before arriving here.”
In order to make this an even more attractive option for customers, London Southend Airport is offering savings of up to 50% on published prices by booking in advance and online.
Alastair says “We are aware of a number of operators offering off-site, often more expensive, remote parking options. We strongly urge passengers to compare any rates with our rates and to check the credentials carefully of any such company who operate outside of the rules set out in the airport by-laws. We are sorry but we cannot be held responsible for any car parking booked through such channels.”
There are some other changes being made to car parking at London Southend Airport. From 1 November, the free period available in the Short Stay Car Park was reduced from 10 to 5 minutes. This is to ensure this car park is only being used by people to drop off and pick up airport passengers, for which this free period is intended.
Alastair added “We are the only London airport to offer a free period in our Short Stay Car Park for the convenience of our passengers. They are also pleased to discover that our car parking prices are still amongst the lowest of all the London airports.”
