Parents… help your child achieve success with SACC

This summer, a Southend college, is providing English, maths and verbal reasoning group revision.

It is the first time that Southend Adult Community College (SACC) has offered this service. Staff have recognise that many children lose their learning momentum over the summer period and want to help bridge the gap of the summer holidays.

SACC will provide a range of practice activities aimed at 8 to 11 year olds to develop a child’s analytical skills, build confidence and improve their English, maths and verbal reasoning. Workshops are developed to support children with year 6 SATs, the 11 plus test and the move up to senior school. In addition, parents are given help on how to support their child with their studies.

The 2 hour sessions (great value at only £10 per hour) are held at the college’s Southchurch Centre, Ambleside Drive, Southend. Sessions will run over a 5-week period in August on a Monday and Wednesday morning 10am – 12pm. A minimum of 4 sessions per child must be attended and paid for by pre-enrolment.

Parents are welcome to stay on-site in the college’s cafe while their children are in class. To enrol your child, please call 01702 445700 and quote course code L1145WKY11.
