Southend’s four Leisure Centres are working together to get primary school children active.
Southend Swimming & Diving Centre, Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre, Chase Sports & Fitness Centre, Shoeburyness Leisure Centre and Belfairs Swim Centre are inviting schools to enter Parkwood Leisure’s national prize draw for a chance to win £1,000 worth of sports equipment.
The offer runs until Sunday 31st March and each redeemed voucher, complete with the school’s name and details, will be entered into the prize draw.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: “This will help to encourage children to be active and keep fit, but in a fun way. The swimming sessions will be a great chance for children to exercise, try something different and meet new people their own age. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for our local schools and would be fantastic if a Southend school won the prize draw.”
The draw will be made on Tuesday 16th April and the winning school will be notified. Then they will receive £1,000 worth of Maudesports Ltd vouches for sports equipment of their choice.
