We had a flood in October 2024 and have only just been able to return to our home. Throughout the experience Howden Insurance have been absolutely superb in the way they have dealt with any issues, pursued our Insurer on our behalf when delays kept occuring and provided regular updates. Always telephoned back with the answers to queries and happy to provide advice and support all the way through this lengthy process. In particular Richard Sutton has provided exceptional support, always ringing back in answer to queries, always extremely polite and pleasant and it has been a pleasure to work alongside him in dealing this claim which certainly hasn't been an easy one as we live in a listed building and throughout the process had to ensure that we retained all of the original features of the property such as Parquet floors, which all came up during the flood and had to be painstakingly restored and taken back to site. It is extremely helpful to have a Broker, especially if he is a good one, which we were lucky to have supporting us, the flood caused a great deal of issues in terms of health and well being and Richard, we felt, helped with this process in shouldering some of the burden and issues that we had to deal with. Many thanks and once again, we have gone to Howden Insurers to renew our policy for the forthcoming year.
