I actually spoke to a person! A friendly and helpful person who took away all the infuriating aspects of trying to get car insurance online and came up with a quote which I could understand and happily accept.
I'm well into my 70s and reasonably tech savvy but after 30 mins of repeatedly filling in stuff online only to be told "computer says no" I was really annoyed. Thank you Howden Insurance.

Med and his team have provided us with sound advice for a number of years now. This has been particularly helpful in the past few years in the run up to me taking early retirement and the first 3 years of being retired. Taking early retirement felt a momentous decision and one I did not want to get wrong. Discussions with Med helped me calibrate my crystal ball and the 3 years since retirement have reinforced the feeling that it was the right decision from a financial perspective. We have just had our annual review with Med and Josh which has highlighted some minor tweaks to improve our position. We feel very well advised.

I have had my car insurance with Howdens (ex APlan) in Salisbury for many years. I can't praise them enough. Always professional, knowledgeable, polite and happy to help. I had a small accident a few years ago, and the service they provided was outstanding. Car returned repaired after 1 week, and even had a courtesy call from the office directly after the incident asking if I was OK. This year,I had the pleasure of talking to Liam who went above and beyond to ensure I got the right cover for my renewal for the best price. Nothing was too much trouble.
