Taking out insurance through Howdens was simple and the person I dealt with spoke perfect English, which in 2026 has now become a standout feature for companies. Sadly you ring a UK telephone number to discover you are talking to someone in another part of the world where they think they speak good English, sadly not.

Really helpful and friendly service.
They got in touch with me by phone, reminding me of renewal and then were extremely helpful in processing everything and finding me the best deal. Would definitely recommend and use again

The main plus in dealing with them was the fact that you can talk to a person.
I could have got a cheaper policy if I had gone on line but you cannot speak to a person ,only an automated machine that could not answer the question I wanted answered.
The extra I had to pay for this service gave me peace of mind as dealing with insurance companies is a very one sided affair.
That is why I gave them 5 stars.

Yes, very good but I felt the price charged after giving all the details carefully, was higher than though was expecting
I did try to negotiate, but they would not move!
