Having had a bad experience with a different broker, Kerry at Howden was like a breath of fresh air! Called and emailed when she said she would, managed to get cover for an non-standard house situation within a day, and saved my house purchase! Very pleasant, cheerful and helpful, and listened to what I needed and acted on it!

Excellent service from start to finish, not just replacing windows and front door but actually making one window much larger all done so professionally . The front door is so beautiful and finished off so well. I would certainly recommend this company.

Excellent friendly service from Alix. Just taken out my historic vehicle insurance with them. Helpful with modifications, agreed value and choosing the right options. Competitive quote compared to previous insurance. As they were introduced by my Car Club I also feel confident in service should the worst happen (hopefully not!)

I was pleased with the initial quote for the insurance of our campervan. Then, when I returned the call to agree to taking out the policy, the agent then started quoting a higher cost as there were several “add on” benefits that increased the policy price. This then took the price up to the same as other policies we had considered but dismissed due to the high cost.
The agent was happy to consider these elements and not add these, the price was only a few pounds less in the end for the same policy.
I do feel the additional elements of a policy should be up front and transparent at the initial quote. There should not be additional costs added once the quote has been considered and agreed upon!
The agents I dealt with were both polite and courteous and I am happy with the policy I do have with the company.

Howdens sorted out my wife's insurance when she changed her car and so I thought I would give them a try when my classic car was due for renewal. they got me a similar policy but almost 20% cheaper.
