Howden’s arranged motor scooter insurance for my son and car insurance for me.
On both occasions, they listened carefully to our individual circumstances and in my son’s case even rang the insurance company to clarify parking arrangements which made a difference to the premium. This isn’t possible when relying on online-only companies.
We were both happy with the service we received. We might have shaved a tiny amount off by using an online broker but it’s worth it to be able to speak to someone face to face.

We visited Shrewsbury on our way back from holiday in North Wales. Sadly it was a horrible day with heavy rain but I did finally get to visit Write Here!. I have used their online shop but wanted to visit and I had the bonus of meeting the owner, John. It is a fabulous stationery shop with something for everyone. I personally wanted to see the great selection of Fountain pens and was not disappointed. There is a pen for everyone, whatever your budget, from £12 to £2,700 and everything in between. We will re-visit Shrewsbury when the weather is a lot better and I will visit Write Here!, as a priority.

Decided to have my car cleaned here yesterday Saturday 5th July 2025 surprised I was charged £15 when previous it was only £12 and no change in car, they always do a good job, started with the jet spray but while they were standing at the front of the car he keep stopping and bending down then said something to another staff member then went down the front again then gave me a thumbs up, Strange thing to do I thought he continued his conversation with the other then continued with the car they also bent down at back passenger side. Anyway unsure why they continued with my car and finished I left, I needed to stop at a shop so once arrived I looked at my car and the number plate was hanging and also the rear near side under the back wheel arch the seal was hanging off. Before this wash my car was good nothing lose, they could have said something to me rather than not inform me, because if I'd been driving and these items had come off altogether I could have caused a problem by maybe hitting another car. I'm not blaming them but maybe a power wash is just too powerful sometimes.
