I had used the Bath office, formerly A-Plan, for well over thirty years but was lured away by cheaper prices.
But service and experience really matters with insurance, particularly the minefield of house insurance. I came back to Howden owing to their knowledge of the market, reliable advice, competitive pricing and, critically, support for a friend in a dispute with an obviously avaricious insurance company.
Howden won back my house and car insurance, and will probably get all our insurance.
Craig and his staff deserve an especially enthusiastic endorsement.

So I called Howdens for a quote on home Insurance unfortunately they called just when I had to go out & arranged to call me back later that day.
They called exactly on time & introduced himself. All I can say is WOW - Customer Services at its best. Excellent. Leo from Bury at Edmunds was outstanding. I really didn't expect this level of service especially as it's been apparent for many years a personal service is virtually unheard of these days! This indeed was personal - he listened to my concerns & specifics of what I wanted covered. He helped me fully understand what everything meant putting into layman's terms. Nothing was rushed at any time. He rang around different providers trying to find a great deal for me. He really worked hard to ensure he covered everything. I am so impressed. I will 100% be calling him again to sort my car insurance.
