Volunteering to make a difference

With over 800,000 people in the UK living with dementia, and numbers set to rise to one million by 2025, we urgently need more volunteers to help us to continue to support people living with dementia and their families.

Our volunteers are vital to the work that we do and undertake many roles from supporting our services, to helping with fundraising; they help us to achieve wonderful things.

Volunteering provides a wealth of benefits, including meeting new people and learning new skills.

What do we ask of our volunteers?

No special qualifications or experience is needed.

All that we ask is for an interest in volunteering to support people living with dementia and the knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, dementia and how it can affect individuals, their families and carers.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Society, please contact Rachel Dean- Volunteering Officer-Staffordshire and Shropshire.
