Rugby Borough Council’s sport and play Grants for 2012 are open until Sunday 30 September to consider applications for grant funding.
The sports and play grants award scheme offers sports and community clubs/organisations the chance to apply for funding of up to £1000 to promote and widen opportunities for young people and other groups to participate in sports and play activities.
Applications are invited to support the purchase of equipment, towards the costs of running events, increasing club profile, developing the club and increasing participation.
The borough council want to support the many sports clubs and volunteers in the borough. The sport and play grant scheme offers valuable financial assistance to these clubs and organisations to increase opportunities for people of all ages to participate in sport and an active lifestyle.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 30 September with a grants panel meeting early November to finalise the successful applications.
