News Release - Dorothy Johnson - 9th December 2012 - Granborough Farmers' Market and Silent Action

We had a very successful Farmers' Market last Thursday with an excellent turn out and at times we did not have enough seats in the Cafe.

All the stalls were very popular with customers purchasing wreaths, trees, cheese boards and food for Christmas.

Complementary mulled wine was enjoyed by many to warm them up, on what was a very cold day. The highlight of the market was our 'Silent Auction' which raised the grand sum of £1,238, to which we will be able to add Gift Aid.

This money will go towards the cost of new floors with work commencing in the middle of January 2013. Needless to say we were delighted with the success of the event and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated goods and also supported the event.
