Rugby Christmas Cracker Ready for Action!

This year Rugby Christmas Cracker’s charity Radio Station 87.9 FM is now broadcasting and the café (Crackerteria) is now open in Rugby Town centre until Christmas Eve.

Rugby Christmas Cracker is a local charity which enables young people to raise funds for under-privileged kids in the developing world and this year Rugby Christmas Cracker celebrates their 20th Birthday.

Over the last 20 years is in excess of £170,000 has been raised for various charities.

Volunteers are still needed to help so if you would like to present a radio show at Cracker FM 87.9 or help in the Crackerteria then please contact Katie.

All the money raised this year are for Oasis Trust and will help fund marginalised young women in tailoring skills in Bangalore and Chennai, India. Women from the poorest slum communities will be taught tailoring skills to a high standard so they can get employment in Jacob’s Well which makes beautiful clothes some of which will be sold in the Crackerteria.

The Radio Station Cracker FM 87.9 is mostly presented by young people from the local area and to view the programme guide to find out who is on and when click here.
