Queen's Diamond Jubilee Parade in Rugby Temporary Road Closures

With lots of people travelling to Rugby Town Centre to watch the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Parade on Saturday 2nd June 2012 together with other events and activities being staged there will be some disruption due to road closures.

Please be aware when travelling anywhere over the extended Bank Holiday weekend there will be a large number of temporary road closures due to street parties being held all over the country. Please do visit the local council website to check and allow extra time for your journeys.

Rugby Borough Council will close the following roads to allow the Diamond Jubilee parade to safely pass through the town centre:

Closures are expected to come into force at 1:00 pm and continue until 3:00 pm on Saturday 2nd June, but the Traffic Order allows the closures to be enforced between 10:00am and 7:00 pm, should they be needed.

    Gas Street
    Church Street
    Albert Street
    Henry Street
    Regent Street
    North Street
    Evreux Way

In addition, on-street parking will be suspended on Regent Street, Henry Street and Albert Street from 8:00 am on Saturday 2nd June, until the parade has finished. Gas Street, Railway Terrace and Town Hall car parks will also be closed.

There will be FREE parking in Newbold Road car park, which is the closest car park to Caldecott Park.
