Last Minute Christmas parties in Rugby

It’s the middle of November and you've just realised that no-one has arranged the Christmas Party this year. All eyes fall on you to sort things out. But don’t panic. Even though Christmas is getting closer, there is still time to arrange a party. Whether it’s a work function, something for a club or group of friends, you can still pull off a great evening.

1. Work out your budget and venue

Some people might want a cheap and cheerful few drinks and perhaps a buffet laid out on a table in the office. Others might be a fan of a full-on sit down meal in a private function venue. Try and strike the right balance between what people would like to do. Ask people for ideas, or even have them vote for which party they want to go for. But remember, the more extravagant, the more expensive.

2. Who is invited?

Are different departments doing their own thing or is everyone going to the same party? Are partners also invited? Some people might even want to involve kids. Get this decided early on and make sure everyone knows the plan so no one turns up and is left embarrassed.

3. When are you having it?

Some dates will be more suitable than others. Try and work out when the most people will be available. But don’t forget, it’s getting late in the day; it might be more down to what’s available than what you want. If the date is vital, shop around for availability first.

4. Try something different?

Depending on numbers, you might like to give something different a try. A group visit to a comedy club for example, or perhaps going 10-pin bowling or go karting beforehand? It might be something that appeals to people, so ask around.

5. Don’t Panic

There are plenty of options out there and as a rule, most people will be happy with whatever you manage to arrange.  They key is to go out and enjoy yourself.
