Free Weekend Car Parking in Rugby running up to Christmas from Saturday 3rd December 2011 at Rugby Borough Council's Car Parks.

Christmas shoppers in Rugby Town Centre will be able to park for FREE after 10:00 am at weekends from Saturday 3rd December 2011 this festive season thanks to Rugby Borough Council in all of the Borough Council's Car Parks.

Councillor Heather Timms, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for the economy, said:

“Thanks to careful financial planning we have been able to give the town centre economy, and Rugby residents, a big boost this Christmas.

“With the recession ongoing, it’s great to be able to announce some good news that will help families as they prepare for this special time of year.”

The proposals are that on the following days, from 10:00 am, there will be FREE parking in all Car Parks operated by Rugby Borough Council, which are open.

These Car Parks are John Barford, Railway Terrace, Gas Street, Old Market Square, North Street, Chestnut Field, Little Church Street, Westway, Evreux Way and Newbold Road:

Saturdays: 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th December 2011
Sundays:   4th, 11th and 18th December 2011 (John Barford Car Park Closed on Sundays)
