Lead by qualified volunteer ride leaders, the aim is to get women, aged 16+, cycling together in a fun, informal setting and using their bikes more often. The Rugby rides run every fortnight and cater for all levels of experience, with some rides in scenic, traffic-free settings, making them perfect for beginners.
For those who are looking to get back on the saddle, Breeze ride leaders can show you how to check your bike is in good working order and point you in the right direction if anything needs repairing.
Laura Musgrave, Family Lifestyle & Active Recreation Officer at Rugby Borough Council, said:
“British Cycling research shows that three times more men than women cycle, and especially with the Olympic year now upon us, Rugby Borough Council are delighted to support the Breeze “Closing the Gap” campaign.
"We have a great set of friendly and enthusiastic ride leaders in Rugby, so there is no better time to get cycling.”
