Jubilee weekend has been and gone in its traditionally British damp fashion, the Olympic torch is winding its way around the nation and summer is on the way.

2012 is an historic year, but the more traditional summer activities are still going on. Car boot sales have been popular for nearly 30 years and Rugby is no exception, with no fewer than four taking place in the region over the coming Saturday and Sunday.

So there's plenty of choice for bargain hunters and sellers alike.

This Saturday's offering is at Dunchurch and Clifton upon Dunsmore. The car boot sale opens at 6.30 for sellers and 8.00am for buyers running through until 12.00 with toilets available on site.

The price for sellers - pitch fees are between £6 and £10.

Sunday 10th June is the FORTNIGHTLY car boot sale at Clifton upon Dunsmore and is between Clifton and the A5. The Saxon Fields and Children's Fun Farm hosts the car boot sale. With a farm shop, cafe and huge outdoor kids play area it is sure to be popular, so you need to book in advance. Please note there are no traders, catering or food sellers allowed. Toilets and refreshments available on site. Gates open for sellers at 7:00 am and buyers 8:00 am until 12:00 pm (noon).

Also on Sunday is the Rugby Town FC in aid of the football club and run by its supporters. Taking place at the club’s ground on Butlin Road, the gates open at 7.00am for sellers and an hour later for buyers. Toilets and refreshments are on site.

And finally, the playing fields in Crick are the location of a fourth car boot sale in the local area over the weekend. With toilets on site gates open at 7.30 for sellers and half an hour later for buyers.

Entry for buyers for all four Boot Sales is 50p for adults, 30p for pensioners and free for kids.
