The event, on Saturday 13 October from 10.30am to 4pm, will offer visitors to the museum and art gallery the chance to draw from live birds provided by the ever popular ‘animal man’. Animal artist Julia Prior will be on hand to guide and improve visitors drawing techniques.

Visitors will be also able to watch professional artists at work, including local Rugby artists from ‘artlab’ demonstrating their skills. As well as plenty of drawing activities there will be craft activities including making animal wings, goggle eyes and animal foot prints. In keeping with the ‘We are extInked’ exhibition visitors can even be tattooed with temporary glitter tattoos between 1pm and 3pm for a small charge.

This popular annual event is free of charge and is open to everybody, regardless of age, to discover their hidden talents and get creative. Cllr Heather Timms, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for Culture, said: "The Big Draw is a very popular event and I am delighted to see, once again, that there is so much on offer for people to enjoy.

It's a great chance to explore your talents in a fun and relaxing environment." There is no need to book for this event. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
