Whitworth Family Fun Day to take place at The Riverside, Rossendale

The car park of the Riverside (Whitworth Civic Hall) will play host to the 2nd annual Whitworth Family Fun Day on Sunday 10 July.  Organised by the Whitworth Tourism and Leisure Committee, the event will run from 12 noon to 5pm and aims to provide fun entertainment for all members of the family.

Enjoy the thrills and spills of a wide variety of family fun attractions for tiny tots to teenagers. There will be entertainments and games, a variety of stalls, and a range of rides for kids both younger and older.There will also be hot and cold food and drinks, face-painting, paintball and laser tag, circus and dance demonstrations, the Riverside bar will be open, and Wellbobs Petting Farm will be holding a ‘Pet’s Corner’.There will be a small entry fee of 20p per person, with some rides also being charged for.

The event will also see the launch of the first ever Whitworth Scarecrow Festival.The festival and judging will take place in early September, with the winners being announced at the Rushcart festivities on 11 September.
