The Riverside
Whitworth Civic Hall
Based in the pretty village of Whitworth, Rossendale and surrounded by beautiful scenery you will find The Riverside, formerly Whitworth Civic Hall which was unfortunately destroyed by fire in 2003 but is now once again an integral part of the local community.
The Riverside is the perfect venue for all functions whether for business or personal use alike and can cater for parties of up to 300 people. With state of the art facilities, clean, fresh surroundings and a friendly team that are on hand to ensure that your special day goes without hitch.
The facilities at the Riverside are second to none with the inclusion of gardens for those photographs that capture your most memorable day to a play area to keep the younger members of your party occupied.
Catering for all budgets, The Riverside host's 3 rooms in total for all events from weddings and civil partnership's , conferences, christening's, parties and much more. A variety of menu's and wines are available as well as a well stocked bar with very respectable prices. All dietary requirements can be catered for to ensure that every member of your party has an enjoyable day.
Weddings
As the biggest day of your life you want to ensure that everything goes to plan and our friendly and professional team are on hand from the day that you book your wedding venue right through til the very last guests leave. The Riverside also have a separate, secure room available to store your wedding gifts or simply to escape from it all for a while.
Wedding packages start with a civil ceremony in the Mayoral Chamber followed by:
Bucks Fizz on arrival
A 4 course wedding breakfast
2 glasses of white or red wine to accompany your meal
A glass of sparkling white wine for your toast
Crisp white table linen with colour co-ordinated serviettes to compliment your wedding colours
Fresh floral displays for the table
Helium balloons for each table and the room

A fantastic package based on 50 people at just £3,750
Additional guests are priced at £44.50 per head and children under the age of 12 at £19.25
The use of the Main Hall and Stage, Festival Lounge Bar and Broadley Room are free of charge for parties of 50 and over.

Call us to discuss your requirements no matter how large or small. Whether you need balloons, room decorations or flowers, we have all the contacts and are a real one stop shop for your party needs.
Conference Facilities and Function Rooms
Conference Facilities at The Riverside are second to none. From a small and intimate meeting through to a large exhibition you can rest assured that you will find all of the facilities that you require to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Of course you will be wi fi connected too so you can be kept up to date throughout the day on all that is important in your business.
Function rooms can be laid out in boardroom, theatre, cabaret or horseshoe style to accomodate up to 300. Food is available from one of a variety of menus available.
Room hire starts at just £25 per hour and equipment is available to hire from the venue including:

It was another great night at the Riverside, Whitworth. thanks to all involved.
We were at the Valentines ball on Saturday evening and had a great time. The food was good, the singer was brilliant - hope you have him again next year; he chose exactly the right music for the occasion and for the age group. The dancing was good fun. we enjoyed it better than lst year. Well done.
Dear Lisa, I write on behalf of the Town Council to thank you and all the staff at the Riverside for their part in ensuring that the Remembrance Day commemorations were such a great success again. Whitworth always has a high turnout for these commemorations and 2012 was no exception; we estimate that we had around 500 people with us on the day. We also had a number of members of the serving Armed Forces in attendance again this year, which always makes the commemorations especially poignant, and we were especially pleased to see so many young people in attendance. I know that the staff at The Riverside worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone received refreshments which were very much welcome. Thank you also for accommodating the Guides, who did an excellent job helping to serve the teas and coffees.
