I am extremely pleased to announce that Adepteo has been short listed as a finalist for the ISPA awards for Best Internet Telephony provider 2011 (Click here for more information)
A large number of companies were nominated for the award and we have all undergone 2 months of rigorous technical testing by Malden Electronics in order to become shortlisted.
It is now down to the independent panel of ISPA Awards judges to decide on the winners which will be announced on July 7th at the Lancaster London Hotel. We all have our fingers crossed here!
About The ISPA Awards:
The ISPAs - the UK Internet industry awards - are unique as they are awarded to people and organisations in the industry by their peers and reflect the broad nature of the service provider sector.
The Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA UK) has been organising the UK Internet Industry Awards since 1999 to herald the best of the Internet industry and to celebrate innovation and best practice. In 2002 the awards were dubbed The ISPAs.
This short listing follows on from the Digital Entrepreneur Award that the company won in December 2010.
Overview of technical testing:
If you are interested in the technicalities involved in the testing then here they are. Every two hours for last two months the Malden testing system performed a VoIP call over our service to a PSTN terminated end point. An audio recording was played during the call and the performance of the audio delivery and network behaviour during the call was measured. Specific measurements taken were as follows:
• Speech Quality Score (using ITU P.862.1 PESQ)
• Round trip delay
• Speech level loss
• Background noise
• Network jitter
• Network packet loss
As this is a totally independent test we are extremely pleased that we have done so well.
