Don't pay council tax on empty property

Don’t pay Council Tax on empty property. Once a property has been empty for six months council tax becomes payable. Unfortunately this is what many property sellers are now facing as mortgage lenders have raised their fees, interest rates and deposit requirements making it increasingly difficult for people to qualify for mortgages especially 1st time buyers which is usually the start of a buying chain. Increasingly many people are turning the “drain on their finances” into a positive cashflow by renting their property out. Renting is very complicated these days with much mandatory legislation plus the risk of ending up with a “tenant from hell”. The way to steer through all of this is to use an experienced local rental specialist company who will ensure compliance and conduct the necessary checks to find a reliable tenant.
