Diary of an event organiser - meeting with the host

This morning we have been down to Rhyl to meet with the venue owner for our meeting next week.

The event will be held at Harkers Corner Cafe in Rhyl and we discussed the seating and catering arrangements today with Joely Harker.

Many people will remember The Corner Cafe from years ago, but if you haven't had chance to visit it since it's re-opened you should!  All the refurbishments have been carried out to a really high standard and where possible original features have been left in place.

Downstairs there is a light and airy cafe area - serving drinks (hot & cold, alcoholic and non- alcoholic), snacks and full meals.  There is also an impressive play area so that if you go with the children you can get to sit and drink your coffee in peace!

Upstairs there is a large room with fantastic views from the huge bay window, and although the room is already used a lot for under 13's parties, Joely is hopeful that it will also be used by local businesses and organisations as a meeting room.

There is plenty of space for business meetings, training seminars or group get-togethers and a varied selection of refreshments available to suit all needs.

We've discussed our options for next week's meeting today and are really looking forward to it.
