Very central hotel on main street through the city. Small, but cozy size room. Okay bathroom with shower in bathtub. Good restaurant for breakfast, which was included in the two of us at £ 100 per night. Good service and very clean. I can recommend this hotel.

Checked in around 1900 on a Sunday , car park was empty but I understand this is busier midweek

Reception great and took the time to ask how my day has been and quickly got the paperwork out the way
Dined in restaurant for 2 nights, great menu with ample choices and not too bad on the pocket

Breakfast was superb , loved treat tea coffee we’re served lots of choice hot and cold to suit

Two overnight stays as part of a coach tour. I have to praise the staff highly as there were 2 coach tours staying here as well as other guests and everything was perfect.
Excellent food at dinner and breakfast with good choices. Efficient staff who ensured all went well during meals.
Large clean room with extras for a great stay..
My only concern was that the reception was on the first floor leaving the lift and ground floor vulnerable to potential trouble from unwelcome visitors.

I was very impressed with all the staff - professional, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good and in a spacious modern dining area. We had a problem with air conditioning units. The manager kindly moved us to a better room, but sadly this unit also failed the next day. A good stay overall.

Stayed here on the 14th Aug after attending a family trip to the Dukes open air theatre. Great location, clean and comfortable.
I have stayed in a great many IHG hotels both in the UK and Internationally and very rarely write reviews, in fact I can count them on one hand but felt a thank you was well deserve here.
The customer service I received from this establishment, especially Michelle the General Manager, was nothing short of outstanding. Thank you.

Stayed with some family, had 4 rooms which they allocated next to each other & completed all our requests for cots etc. Sean on the bar was lovely, really friendly and professional, made us feel very welcome. Polly & Georgia checked us in & out, and were great with the children and again, very friendly, professional and patient. Breakfast staff were very accommodating and the chef was great. Bar area & rooms really clean. We stayed last summer as well, and will be back next year when we visit Blackpool again! Thanks to all the team who made our stay really good.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, we really couldn’t have asked for more. The kitchen staff were brilliant and looked after our party of 8 so well. Bar and reception were cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Very happy with our overnight stay.

An excellent hotel, the staff are all absolutely superb and can't do enough to help. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning was an absolute godsend on the night I was there.
Only minor gripe is the limited parking, but there's a multi-storey car park two minutes walk away.
Oh and the breakfast was very tasty as well.

Lovely and clean, with everything you could need in the rooms.
Modern clean decor- breakfast was good but did have to ask for poached eggs not to sent out the same time as my fruit salad.
Convenient to go out exploring or going into town.
We also caught the train to Liverpool, which is definitely worth a visit.
We stay here about twice a year and the team especially the manger go out of their way to accommodate us.
It’s not the most plush hotel but everything is spotless, meals in the bar are just the same as any chain, basic pub grub but well presented and tasty. All of the team are friendly and helpful.

I spent 10 days at this hotel on 2 business trips and was very happy with the service, location and the quality of the stay. The rooms were a good size and comfortable, not to mention very clean. The staff couldn't do enough to help out and the service was impeccable. The air conditioning in the rooms is also very good. I'd stay here again without any hesitation.

Thank you to all of the staff at the Holiday Inn Preston. Keeping the hotel open during the lockdown has been so important for many key workers as in particular this did not effect the training course of my new job.
You have all gone above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. You’ve had to adapt to new ways of working at short notice and dealt with any minor issues in a speedy and professional manner.
Michelle and Georgia are fantastic managers and the F&B team Kamila, Fekri, Sean, Tammy plus the breakfast ladies are the best in the business.

We have stayed one night at this hotel on our way to Lancaster. I have to say that it is really good hotel for the bargain price! We paid normal price for the room and the breakfast was included. The breakfast was served not buffet because of COVID, but it was full breakfast without compromises.
The room was spacious and clean, very fresh and cosy. The barthoom had a bath tub not just shower cabin like in other hotels.
The hotel is just across the road of the bus station, but we didn't hear any noises and slept well till the alarm went on wakeing us for the breakfast.
The staff was friendly and helpful. So I do recommend this hotel for the short breaks.

Hotel was clean, rooms were clean. Breakfast was slow being served and wasn't the best. Bar service was slow and they ran out of alcohol. Staff were helpful when asked although not enough staff at bar and restaurant area

I stay in chain hotels all year round and this is the best one I've ever stayed in. Spacious with a huge bed, a bathroom with an oversized bath. Very well equipped and the food and service was perfect. 10/10

Nice clean room and friendly staff. Most staff follow the Covid rules, however one staff member delivered a heater to my room with the mask around her neck. Also, the desert part of my meal on the second night of my stay was delivered uncovered. It's a long journey from the kitchen including a ride on the lift, so who knows what could have happened to it. This and the current worsening Covid situation caused me to cut short my intended 4 nights stay. If only some of the staff are following the Covid rules its just not worth the risk. Also the chicken & mushroom pie only contained 4 possibly 5 small pieces of chicken and not the 'filled with chicken' as promised on the menu.
