Couldn't fault the service the staff are all very helpful and looked after us very well, this is our second stay in the Holiday Inn Preston, and I only have good things to say about this hotel.

Central and accessible with good parking, bar and excellent menu. As usual, I'm more interested in the breakfast which is a very good buffet here. Rooms might be slightly jaded but overall the standard is comfortable and service is good.

Beds were nice. We were still in our room at 12pm I did ask room service to clean the room after we had gone nobody came. Came back to the room at 7pm phones room service somebody come up but we were still in the room. I told the lady come back in a hour nobody still cleaned the room. Wasn't very happy.

Not the nicest HI weāve stayed at and weāve stayed many places with Spire Elite status. 24 hour room service but no room service menu per front desk when i requested an omelette. (I found one later in our stay which had an omelette as an option) phone in room didnāt work half the time. The refrigerators have been taken out of all the rooms (I was informed of this when I called as it was removed from our room). I had bought a lot of food as I am traveling with a 3 year old with food allergies and had to throw it all away. (They did offer to store it in their small employee refrigerator but I donāt trust that with my childās food as he has food allergies) Window leaking when rained. As we are are Spire Elite status we usually have at least complimentary water in the room (or a candy bar that we canāt eat) or an upgrade offer but there was nothing.
Beds are comfortable thankfully and room dark in the morning and at night before the sun goes down. (Important for putting a child to bed at 7pm!). The aircon also worked which was a plus in this heat we have been having.

a bit tired and in need of an update, the air con was ok which was much needed as Windows have to be shut due to nearby busy A59. food at the bar was ok and reasonably priced, especially if you have a taste card and get 2 for 1. the drinks were expensive, Ā£5 for a San Miguel? overall, ok for a short work stay.
