This time we move to Southsea, and what is probably Portsmouths best indie venue, Albert Roads The Wedgewood Rooms. The venue as we know and love it today came to life in 1992, and has been hosting live rock, folk, punk, grunge, dance, alternative, hip-hop, electro, trance...( you get the picture.) ever since. Catering for an audience of 450 to 500 music fans, it has its own bar, and there is also one adjacent to the main venue - the Edge of the Wedge - for a more intimate drink, and an even more intimate venue, but we will review that one later. The stage of the Wedgwood Rooms may not be a stadium sized affair, but it's plenty big enough to hold some sizeable bands. There are plenty of bars in the area for a pre gig drink, and even more restaurants for a post gig meal. Some bands that have appeared in the past are Kasabian, Travis, Johnny Marr and the Levellers, and some bands appearing there soon are:
