It's getting colder, the evenings are getting dark earlier,it's nearly that time again...Halloween ! A month to go to prepare for the spooky night's celebrations, pumpkin designs to be planned, costumes to be worn, ideas for eaties and games to be played. Pumpkins are usually bought a few days prior to the fun night and can be carved before or as part of the night's activities.Pumpkins are readily available from the market in Commercial Road or from supermarkets and local shops in and around Portsmouth. Scarey costumes can be bought from places such as Primark or U Need Us or can be hired for the evening out and about from local fancy dress hire shops....or why not design and make your own? Hot food to keep out the chill can be as simple or elaborate as you like but traditional food such as baked potatoes and toffee apples are still popular as are games such as apple bobbing for youngsters. For those of you lucky enough to have a garden, why not turn it into a spooky themed garden for your party night? Create a spooky atmosphere and let your imagination run riot !! Enjoy your Halloween in Portsmouth !
