TheBestof Portsmouth Gig Guide (Part 3)
29th August 2013

This time we are off to the Golden Eagle, where Cliff and Louise host several real ales, lagers, Guinness, flavoured vodkas (Including Marmirte and Chilli!!) and live music every Friday and Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoons. Now the Bandstand is finished for the winter, I know where I will be going for my Sunday afternoon culture dose!! This is a real hidden gem of a pub, tucked away off Fawcett Rd, just off the beaten track, but close enough to civilisation...

The beers are of a consistant high quality, and there is never a dull moment with the hosts around. There is a garden out the back for smokers and people that may want a bit of peace, and there is a selection of food available over the bar.

Bands appearing in the next few weeks include....

Fri 30th Absolute Zero (Very good rock covers band)
Sat 31st Charity BBQ (Pompey v Chesterfield)
Sat 31st Blackout (Very loud rock covers band)
