TheBestof Portsmouth Gig Guide (Part 3)

This time we are off to the Golden Eagle, where Cliff and Louise host several real ales, lagers, Guinness, flavoured vodkas (Including Marmirte and Chilli!!) and live music every Friday and Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoons. Now the Bandstand is finished for the winter, I know where I will be going for my Sunday afternoon culture dose!! This is a real hidden gem of a pub, tucked away off Fawcett Rd, just off the beaten track, but close enough to civilisation...

The beers are of a consistant high quality, and there is never a dull moment with the hosts around. There is a garden out the back for smokers and people that may want a bit of peace, and there is a selection of food available over the bar.

Bands appearing in the next few weeks include....

Fri 30th Absolute Zero (Very good rock covers band)
Sat 31st Charity BBQ (Pompey v Chesterfield)
Sat 31st Blackout (Very loud rock covers band)

Fri 6th Lynchpin (rock covers band)
Sat 7th TBA (?)
Fri 13th The Power of Three (tasty blues band)
Sat 14th Monster (rock covers band)
Sun 15th 2PM Sax Quartet (glorious sax sounds!)
Fri 20th The Business (pop/rock covers band)
Sat 21st BBQ (Pompey v Fleetwood Town)
Sat 21st Sahara Snow (metal originals band)
Fri 27th Trevor John (pop/rock trio)
Sat 28th Skunk Funk (soul/funk band)
Sun 29th AlleyCats Open Mic Night
