Poole Town FC ran out comfortable winners 6-1 at home to Laverstock and Ford, with goals from Steve Smith (3), Russell Cook (2) and Ryan Dovell to open up a 3 point gap over Bemerton Heath Harlequins, who they face on Saturday.
Former old boy, Charlie Austin, now with Swindon Town was there to watch his old team mates romp home.
Poole remain second in the League, 2 points behind Wimborne, but with 4 games in hand and a superior goal difference.
Poole look on course for Back-to-Back double winning seasons and this time, have a better chance of promotion if they can get a groundshare agreement in place and Canford Park Arena plans are well underway.
The Dolphins are on the road now, at Bemerton on Sat 20th and Blackfield and Langley 27th, Lymington 2nd March and then return to Tatnam on Sat 6th to face Brading........one of only 3 teams to have beaten them in the league this season.
