The first-ever Poole Goes Vintage extravaganza proved a rip-roaring success for organisers as thousands flocked to enjoy the inaugural event.
Special efforts had been made with outfits by vintage enthusiasts, donning colourful tea dresses and shirts, with intricate hairstyles adding some more glamour to the occasion.
Music from DJ GI 45, female soloist Memphis Belle, duo Scarlett Swing, crooner Karl Stokes, soloist Miss Annie and 1940s-style group, The Land Girls, was popular.
Crowds gathered round the musical acts, with dancers showing off their Lindy Hop moves.
A vintage fashion show also took place, with plenty also provided for youngsters including facepainting and demonstrations from Poole Gun Crew.
Vintage photos were also being taken in Poole Museum's 1950s kitchen.
Retro motorcycles also attracted some interest while cars including a Triumph, Cadillac, a 1948 Plymouth P15 business coupe and an MG were a draw as well.
Dressed as a US Marine, Steve Houghton, owner of the Plymouth said: "I only bought her on Friday, so she's still new to me.
"I'm more of a reenactor than a collector, but we're part of the vintage scene, which is massive in this area.
"The Plymouth has been really popular. So many people have taken photos."
Stalls selling vintage clothing and other items were busy as well.
Graham Richardson, manager of Poole Tourism, added: "It's all gone so well so far.
"We're really pleased, especially as it is the first event. The weather has been brilliant. People have been so positive.
"It's a great start."
The event was organised by Poole Tourism working with vintage event specialist Real Vintage, sponsored by Dutton Gregory Solicitors.
