Poole Town FC extend their lead at the top of the League to five points

Poole Town FC were pushed all the way by a useful Fareham side.  It was Poole that opened the scoring, perhaps against the run of play, with a goal from Evergreen 44 years young Taffy Richardson.  Fareham equalised almost immediately, before Michael Walker and Carl Preston made it 1-3 at halftime.  By that stage the Dolphins were worthy of their lead and had even had another goal disallowed.

In the secondhalf the game was quite even and the climax was quite nervous after Fareham had brought the score to 2-3.  A Stuart Brown goal was disallowed, but the Dolphin clung on to take all three points.

The Dolphins are now 5 points clear on Wimborne who's game at Hayling was off.  Still with a game in hand, the Dolphins look set for Back-to-Back double winning seasons.

Next up for the Dolphins is the Wessex League Cup Semi Final Second Leg against Farnborough North End on Tues 30th at Tatnam, kick-off 7.45pm and then back to league action with another home game on Saturday 3rd April against Totton & Elling, 3pm Kick-off.
