A BUDDING young author has penned a children’s booklet to raise money for Children in Need.
Talented nine-year-old Leah Gelder of Cowslip Road, Broadstone, was at Allendale Community Centre in Wimborne signing copies of Ba Ba Pudsey, which she hopes will raise around £250. The little booklet is on sale for £1 at Wimborne shops Present Company gift shop, Shoe Tree, Bartletts and Hairology and also at Irene in Broadstone and Broadstone Library.
Leah decided to write a children’s story for her niece who is due in December, but was then inspired to write something for Children in Need as well.
The young scribe, who attends Dumpton School in Wimborne, previously raised £85.80 for Children in Need back in 2006 when she held a teddy bears’ sleepover.
