How do you find your new home ?

Do you use an App or social media to find your next home ? An increasing number of people are using"apps" to find their next home. The major companies such as Rightmove, zoopla, findaproperty and primelocation have created apps for their clients to download to their smartphones. Primarily designed for the iPhone there is now a move to Android and Blackberry phone apps.

There are not many agents in the Poole and Bournemouth area that use this technology as yet, but Belvoir Lettings, based in Westbourne, updates all their applicants via it's twitter and facebook pages as well as their regular blog. Mike Betteridge, Belvoir's company Director, says "This is the quickest way that we can update our applicants. Once we take a property on we "Tweet" the news that we have a new property, we get enquiries within 30 minutes".

Belvoir, in it's 3rd year in Westbourne, is renting it's Landlords properties within 24 hours at the moment due to heavy demand and weak supply. Mike went on to say "Our record is 20 minutes at the moment ! I was still inside with the Landlord and they were putting the board up outside. I had to come out and tell them to change the sign to "Let Agreed" he said.

If you are thinking of letting your property then Belvoir would be a good place to start, with competitive rates and a professional service. Mike finished by saying "Most Landlords have a bad experience with agents because they use an estate agent that has gone into lettings to aid their cash flow, they often offer cheap rates and they do not understand the work involved in delivering a quality service to their Landlords"

Belvoir is licensed and regulated by the National Approved Lettings Scheme (NALS).
