3) The ‘On the Street Where You Live’ Exhibition: 03 - 26 November 2015.

The exhibition exists to bring together images that showcase Maxine’s interpretation of memorable places, familiar objects and everyday sights that celebrate our surroundings. By digitally transforming photographs Maxine creates graphic images that describe our surroundings in a simpler, balanced and more straightforward way. The transformation process involves the digital simplification of both detail and colour using carefully selected palettes to create the final image. This exhibition is at Poole Lighthouse. 4) Remembrance Day At Arne

This remembrance day the RSPB will be opening up the WWII gun emplacement at RSPB Arne between 10am - 2pm. This is one of the best preserved in the UK and has a fascinating history. Remembrance Day 2015

Today is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. The Two Minute Silence, held each year at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, marks the end of the First World War. Lest we forget.

19) Are We There Yet? Mapping The Labyrinth (Art Exhibition).

Poole-based artist Michelle Rumney maps pathways through a daily overload of directions... In her recent artwork, Poole-based artist Michelle Rumney attempts to map pathways through a daily overload of directions, instructions and 'rules' for success. Using labyrinth patterns and grids as a base, and simple, repetitive processes, she weaves new roads and makes new sense of the often-conflicting information she finds, transforming basic materials such as book pages, maps and paper into delicate and often meditative pieces, ranging from postcard-size to room-size. Michelle will be creating more of her work in the gallery during the show and running workshops for artists of all ages to come and explore the labyrinth. This exhibition is at Poole Lighthouse.
